Photography is omnipresent. With the amount of images and technologies growing daily, new ways of using them are emerging. Images are always viewed within a social context and they make changes visible. Last but not least, this change demands new skills.
A project of Fotomuseum Winterthur
With support from the Migros Pioneer Fund, Fotomuseum Winterthur’s «From Print to Pixel» project launched a next-generation museum offering. Together with various audience groups, skills were developed for critical reflection on how we deal with photographic images. Various online and offline channels, events and workshop will open the museum to the public as a place for discussion.

«From Print to Pixel» is working together with partner institutions such as the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne to create a nationwide network. The pioneering project shares all its findings. With increased awareness of the impact of photography, an understanding of the zeitgeist will also grow. The self-determined, reflective and creative use of media is the aim.
