Selective social and cultural support

A commitment to local culture!

Through the Culture Percentage, the Migros Geneva cooperative promotes access to culture as well as social and environmental sustainability in the Geneva and Nyon region.

Requirements

  • In principle, support is provided to non-profit cultural and/or social institutions, entities serving a public purpose as per their legal form (association, foundation, cooperative), established in the area covered by the Migros Cooperative Geneva (canton of Geneva, Nyon, Gland), whose activities take place in the same area.
  • Only complete applications submitted in French using the online form, at the latest four months before the date of the event or the start of the project will be considered.
  • As Migros Culture Percentage provides support on a subsidiary basis, the financial plan will indicate the financial means, resources and infrastructure requested or granted by other financial partners.
  • Only one donation is granted per applicant per year. There is a two-year waiting period between two support programmes.

What we support

In the interests of diversity and accessibility, the Cultural and Social Commission of the Migros Geneva Cooperative Council will pay particular attention to small-scale projects that have a strong impact in their context.

A wealth of information on fundraising is available on the vitamin B website.

The Migros Culture Percentage Geneva accordingly supports the following areas:

  • Access to culture: specific projects that promote access to culture for as many people as possible in all artistic fields are eligible. Criteria for qualitative impact (process, innovative dimension of the approach) and quantitative impact (number of people reached) are taken into account when considering the application.
  • Professional culture: Migros Geneva's support for professional culture in the region is provided exclusively through the conclusion of support agreements with cultural venues or festivals. Benefits in kind can be provided through our Migros Culture Percentage ticketing service and/or preferential rates on the Migros B2B offer via Migros Pro.

The Migros Culture Percentage Geneva supports projects, initiatives and organisations whose activities strengthen solidarity within our society, thereby contributing to social sustainability and quality community life in the following areas:

  • Cohesion and inclusion: promoting intercultural encounters, organising socio-cultural and/or popular events bringing together large sections of the population, strengthening intergenerational dialogue, strengthening inclusion (integration, disability), developing voluntary work
  • Equal opportunities: participation of people affected by poverty
