When we invest our money, we aim for the highest possible return. And today, return still means, first and foremost: financial gain. However, in times of climate crisis and social inequality, investments should not only reflect financial interests but also focus on ecological and social aspects. Even though regenerative and impact-orientated companies and sectors are gradually attracting more investors, they still find it difficult to acquire capital.
A New Understanding of Returns
Triple Bottom Line aims to solve these problems and, with the support of the Migros Pioneer Fund, hopes to promote a new understanding of returns in Switzerland, so that more investment flows into companies and sectors that have previously had little capital. The non-profit financial organisation is developing a new way of measuring impact that takes a holistic view of returns, meaning that environmental and social affairs returns are just as important as financial profit. On this basis, the start-up develops financing solutions together with the companies and connects investors and companies. In the first stage of the funding programme, the model will initially be tested in the agricultural sector and the approach's marketability will be validated.
Invest in Impact-orientated Companies
Triple Bottom Line aims to ensure that cash flows are increasingly channelled into regenerative companies and sectors in order to contribute to a sustainable economy in Switzerland.
