Museomix: The museum as ideas lab

What could the museum of the future look like? What kinds of formats attract new visitor groups? How can museums engage the public more strongly? The international initiative Museomix consistently considers the museum from the public’s point of view, creating new ways to access museums and their collections.
A prototype from scratch in 72 hours
For a period of 72 hours, the museum becomes an ideas lab: talented young designers, hackers, makers, scientists, creative artists and communicators create functioning prototypes together there, subsequently presenting them to the public. The Migros Pioneer Fund supported the establishment of this fresh, new format in German-speaking Switzerland.
