disframe is the Migros Culture Percentage's funding and networking project for sustainable inclusive cultural practice.
The cultural sector benefits from experiencing diversity and participation. For this to happen, structural changes and an awareness of approaches, accessibility and belonging are needed. This is where disframe positions itself in a predominantly ableist cultural sector as an interface project between cultural creativity, curation and community, with the aim of recognising and questioning normative expectations and discriminatory practices from different perspectives and changing them together with all actors. In front of, on and behind the stage.
disframe presents a crip art programme in collaboration with partners and offers financial support for the self-determined work of creative artists with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses through regular tenders. As a network project, disframe creates alliances for actively shaping inclusive cultural practice.
Migros Culture Percentage disframe is the further development and reorientation of the predecessor project IntegrArt, which has been promoting inclusive stage art since 2007.
Current
From May 19 to 30, Migros Culture Percentage disframe is showing a programme with national and international crip art stage artists in collaboration with partners. In their works, they artistically scrutinize ableist practices and provide impetus to rethink approaches. The programme is the responsibility of the artistic co-directors Alessandro Schiattarella and Inga Laas and the programme group.
