YourApplicant: A platform that puts talent in the spotlight
It’s paradoxical: every year, more than 10,000 young people in Switzerland are unable to find a suitable apprenticeship. At the same time, more than 10,000 apprenticeship places remain unfilled, and 24 per cent of apprentices terminate their apprenticeship contracts early. The problem is not the shortage. It’s the matching. This starts even before the application process begins: for most young people, it is their first ever job application. They often do not know their exact strengths, what they’re looking for, and how they can highlight their skills in a job application beyond just their grades and CV. Schools provide guidance on career choices, but they often lack the time or the right tools to offer individual support with the application process.

YourApplicant YourApplicant wants to make it easier for young people to enter the labour market and successfully pursue a suitable career path. On the YourApplicant platform, an AI coach guides young people step by step: from identifying their interests, strengths and skills right through to submitting their application. This shines a light on the person behind the certificates. Training organisations also benefit from this: the search for talent becomes easier and more targeted. Last but not least, the platform is a useful tool for teachers to provide more targeted support. With the support of Migros Pioneer Fund, the platform aims to establish itself in the market and grow.
