Noise, emissions, clogged streets: the distribution of goods in the city has major impacts on city residents. With City Logistics ImagineCargo is developing an alternative solution to fossil fuel-operated motorised urban logistics: electric cargo trikes capable of carrying up to 300 kg for the «last mile» of inner city deliveries.
Cargo trikes: clean, quiet – and fair
The project, funded by the Migros Pioneer Fund, is not limited to the technical development of the cargo trikes. It also includes the establishment of the corresponding logistics networks and scaling of the offer from Zurich to other cities throughout the country. ImagineCargo pursues a holistic approach and places great value on fair working conditions for the couriers, cooperation with other stakeholders as well as sharing findings within the community.
