Diversity is part of Switzerland’s DNA. To ensure we remain a cohesive society, it’s important that we show an interest in each other, but also achieve greater self-awareness. This questionnaire raises some thought-provoking points.
- In which situations are you part of a group?
- What does everyone have in common?
- Where have you made new friends over the past five years?
- Where or with whom can you be completely yourself?
- Name three values that make Switzerland cohesive.
- When was the last time you helped a stranger out and with what?
- What’s the most ‘Swiss’ and most ‘un-Swiss’ thing about you?
- If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and what would you like to find out?
- Have you ever been to a wedding or other ceremony of someone from a different culture to your own?
- What was the last prejudice you rejected?
- Turning coexistence into togetherness
- Where in everyday life do you experience differences as enrichment? Where as an imposition?
- Are you friends with people who belong to a generation? Would you like to be?
- How much inequality can a relationship tolerate?
Small gestures for greater cohesion
Twenty-six cantons, four national languages and many different cultures and lifestyles - Switzerland has a rich tradition of diversity. To ensure that this continues in the future, we need people who are committed to togetherness rather than merely living alongside one another. What small gestures can improve cohesion in our everyday lives? Tell us your ideas. They could win you one of 100 Migros vouchers worth CHF 100 within the framework of the Migros Culture Percentage’s #diversityinitiative.
