atd_2880x1260

In a joint project, Migros Culture Percentage and ATD Fourth World Switzerland are enabling anyone interested to develop a new perspective on poverty in Switzerland by meeting people living in poverty.

ATD Fourth World Switzerland brings together people with different social and cultural experiences to reflect, learn and act together against poverty and social exclusion. ATD stands for "All Together for Dignity.

Would you like to work with others and tackle the issue of poverty? Are you interested in the challenges and prejudices faced by people living in poverty? Do you want to play a part and take concrete action against social exclusion?

Migros Culture Percentage and ATD Fourth World invite you to join in the discussion, learn about new perspectives on the topic of poverty and exchange ideas with others at events in various regions of Switzerland. And you will find out what you can do specifically to change the way we treat people affected by poverty in our society.

The first event will take place in spring 2025. More information to follow!

Background of the project "In dialogue with people with experience of poverty"

The project "In dialogue with people with experience of poverty" was launched by ATD Fourth World with the support of Migros Culture Percentage.

It is based on the results of the participatory action research project "Poverty - Identity - Society" by ATD Fourth World. From 2019 to 2023, people with experience of poverty, experts and researchers developed a comprehensive understanding of poverty in Switzerland - an understanding based on the experiential knowledge of people living in poverty.

The "Poverty - Identity - Society" project showed, among other things, that society needs to be made more aware of the issue, constructive dialogue and meetings with people affected by poverty, in order to improve how society treats those affected by poverty. This is precisely where the joint project of ATD Fourth World and Migros Culture Percentage comes in.

Together against poverty in Switzerland

Migros Culture Percentage is committed to social cohesion. For example, it supports people and organisations involved in exploring new ways of dealing with poverty in Switzerland.
