Theatre and cabaret

Theatre performances

The Migros Culture Percentage supports many open-air and amateur productions as well as youth theatre projects. It also enables subsidised theatre subscriptions.

Promoting theatre in the region

Go to the theatre with the Migros Culture Percentage – for entertainment at a moderate price. With the aim of giving as many people as possible access to theatre productions, the Migros Culture Percentage offers subsidised theatre subscriptions. It also supports cabaret productions and amateur dramatics, and is actively engaged in children’s and youth theatre.

Theatres

  • Theatre subscriptions: A wide range of subsidised tickets are available to members of the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland at the following theatres: St.Gallen, Winterthur and Schaffhausen.

  • Frauenfeld Theatre Association: Frauenfeld Theatre Association has been organising professional visiting productions for its winter season since 1959. These are all staged at the Stadtcasino Frauenfeld. Migros cooperative members enjoy concessionary prices.

Cabaret and street theatre

  • Kellerbühne St. Gallen: Kellerbühne St. Gallen has occupied its basement venue since 1965. Its programme likes to use art as a means of confronting topical political and social developments head-on.
  • Aufgetischt St. Gallen: The cabaret festival «Aufgetischt!» always takes place on the weekend following Ascension Day. Take a front seat to see more than 50 international street artists give their best in St. Gallen’s historic monastery quarter.
  • Buskers Chur: Cabaret artists from all over the world fill the streets of Chur’s Old Town during this festival at the start of June each year.
