Reporters without barriers dispel clichés
People with disabilities become reporters and change the way they are covered in the media.
In Switzerland, all people should participate equally – regardless of disabilities. But clichés and prejudices persist. The media have the power to change that. This is exactly where Reporters without Barriers comes in: people with disabilities are trained as reporters and bring their perspectives directly to the media. Through authentic stories and self-determined reporting, they break down prejudices, create awareness and show what an inclusive society really looks like. But they are not the only ones learning: media professionals and organisations are also being sensitised in training courses so that they can report more inclusively and non-discriminatory.

From the project team:
«A diverse Switzerland needs media that amplify the voices of people with disabilities.»
