For around fifteen years, Eugénie Rebetez (*1984) has been developing a stage language that combines dance, song and humour. As a trained dancer, she places the body with its sensuality and vulnerability at the centre of her work. She created and performs the solo shows Gina (2010), Encore (2013), Bienvenue (2017) and Comeback (2025). Together with other performing artists, she choreographed and staged Le défilé droit direct du Jura (2019), Nous trois (2019), Ha ha ha (2021), Rendez-vous (2022) and Und dann kamen die Kinder (2024). She also works as a dramaturge or film actress for other artists and occasionally tutors students working on projects as part of a Bachelor's degree in dance at The Manufacture, a school of performing arts, in Lausanne. From 2024 to 2027, Eugénie Rebetez will receive continuous support for her creative work as part of a new "concept" funding system introduced by Zurich, her adopted home, designed to increase equity in arts funding.
