Nina Wägli (1981) grew up in Bern and across the pond (Palo Alto and Ann Arbor). She studied at the Comart movement theatre school in Zurich, followed by an excursion into sociocultural animation at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Central Switzerland. She has been touring hospitals in Switzerland for a decade as Dr PönK on behalf of the Théodora Foundation, training children's laughter muscles. She lives with her family in Bern. Brilliant and failed in the final of Kabarett Casting Olten 2020. Created a family theatre piece on the theme of "boredom" during the lockdown and is celebrating the premiere of her first solo cabaret program "verhedderet" in 2021: a fast-paced search on detours.
Project
My solo program "verhedderet" deliberately plays with the shades of grey of different genres such as comedy and cabaret. For a sustainable positioning in the scene, a strategic orientation of my work(s) as an artist should be helpful. The order situation for 2022 is difficult, but it is important to promote my program in the already established formats (PatisSerie finale) or new competitions (Jungsegler). In the medium term, I would like to expand my catchment area, both geographically (outside of Switzerland) and in terms of genre. Here, for example, the question arises as to what opportunities exist in related areas such as political satire. Organizational support (management, self-marketing, networking, tour planning) is also desirable. How can I get gigs during the pandemic? Should additional formats be considered?
