Innovation is what drives entrepreneurial progress and change. Change calls for new ideas and outlooks. So why not get young people who are just setting out on their working life and approach things with a fresh, creative perspective involved? Apprentices are full of drive and want to play an active role in making a difference, but are seldom involved in innovation projects, especially in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs).

With the support of the Migros Pioneer Fund, the 1001kmu support network would like to actively involve apprentices at SMEs in their companies' innovation and digitalisation projects. To do this, 1001kmu supports professionals in-training with a customised training program aimed at building and expanding the necessary skills.

Apprentices as drivers of innovation

Participants in the multi-stage programme will get to know new digital technologies, as well as innovation methods such as design thinking. They apply lessons learned in practical terms at their own companies, as well as in company-wide and cross-sector projects.
