Migros Culture Percentage is giving away 100 Thank-You Dinners in Migros restaurants and 100 Migros vouchers to associations and organisations throughout Switzerland to show its appreciation for the valuable work of their volunteers.
Applications can be submitted between 16 March 2026 and 10 May 2026. Apply for one of the two options during this window:
Who can apply?
No matter what your activity – whether it's sport, culture, nature conservation or social affairs – all associations and organisations with active volunteers can apply. Further details on how to take part are available here in the Terms and Conditions of Participation.
Please note the following key points:
- As a group of volunteers, you must have carried out volunteer work in your association or organisation in the last 12 months.
- Volunteering serves a charitable purpose – it is not political and is unpaid.
- Only one application per association or organisation may be submitted. Important: regional and cantonal branches or associations can submit one application each.
How to apply:
- Complete the application form by 10 May 2026: It only takes a few minutes. Provide us with the details of a contact person and a realistic estimate of the number of people who wish to attend. Please select the restaurant of your choice for the Thank-You Dinner in the Migros restaurant.
- Wait for the outcome of the draw: 200 associations and organisations will be randomly selected and the lucky winners will then be contacted by early June 2026 to receive either a Thank-You Dinner in a Migros restaurant or a Migros voucher.
- Date arrangements: The Thank-You Dinners will take place between July and December 2026. The Migros Culture Percentage will cover the costs of your Thank-You Dinner and arrange all the details with you. You will be responsible for making arrangements with the volunteers within your association or organisation.

The purpose of the Thank-You Dinner is to show appreciation to volunteers who perform voluntary, unpaid work for the common good in a association or organisation. The volunteers can either contribute on a temporary or ongoing basis. Smaller expense allowances, e.g. reimbursement of expenses such as travelling expenses for volunteer work, are permitted.
Generally speaking, every hour spent helping out by volunteers is invaluable and deserves to be recognised. It is at the discretion of the association or organisation to decide who has carried out volunteer work in the last 12 months and is therefore included in the application. In addition to the volunteers themselves, their partners and children are invited too.
The thank-you dinners will take place in the second half of the year (July to December 2026). If you win a Migros gift card, you must organise your own thank-you dinner before the end of 2026. If you win a thank-you dinner at a Migros restaurant, you can coordinate with the Migros Culture Percentage contact person for your Migros cooperative. The thank-you dinners will be evening events held on different days of the week, usually between 6.30pm and 10pm.
When applying, please provide a realistic estimate of the number of participants from your association or organisation. Only apply for the Migros restaurant option if you realistically expect more than 40 guests to attend. In all other cases, kindly apply for the voucher option.
You can notify us about the exact number of participants up to two weeks before the event. If you win a thank-you dinner at a Migros restaurant and it turns out that fewer than 40 people will be attending, we will issue you with a Migros voucher for your association instead.
The Thank-You Dinners are aimed at associations and organisations that would like to host a Thank-You Dinner for a minimum of five and a maximum of 150 people. Unfortunately, we cannot take individual people into consideration. We have also set an upper limit of 150 people for capacity reasons. No. We will award each chosen association or organisation either a thank-you dinner at a Migros restaurant or a Migros voucher (worth CHF 50 per participant) depending on the number of attendees.
If you win a Thank-You Dinner or a Migros voucher for your association or organisation, the Migros Culture Percentage of your Migros cooperative will contact you. You will be sent an official notification of your reward by email. The contact person you specified in your application is responsible for coordination within your association or organisation.

In order to make the evening events in Migros restaurants financially viable, they are aimed at associations and organisations with 40 people or more.
Of course. The aim of the evening is to say thank-you to the volunteers from Migros Culture Percentage and from your association or organisation. The evening's programme includes welcoming the volunteers.
Yes, if your association or organisation has an established tradition of partners and children attending Thank-You Dinners, they are of course welcome to attend. Every volunteer invited is allowed to bring a partner and their children as guests. We will leave it up to you to decide whether you plan to invite family members to your Thank-You Dinner. Important: If you are planning to invite family members to your Thank-You Dinner, they must be included in the estimated number of people in the application. Please note: a maximum of 150 people can attend the Thank-You Dinner.
If you are making a joint application for a Thank-You Dinner, you must specify a single contact person for the partner organisations in advance. If you are selected, this person will be responsible for coordination with Migros Culture Percentage. This option means dealing with more internal coordination, but it does provide a great opportunity to network and exchange ideas between associations.
After consulting you, we may take photos or videos of certain Thank-You Dinners. We would also be delighted to receive photos or videos from the participating associations and organisations that we can use afterwards.
Migros vouchers
The Migros vouchers can be redeemed in all Migros stores and Migros restaurants. The voucher allows you to organise the Thank-You Dinner based on your needs – whether that's at your association's meeting place, in the great outdoors or in a Migros restaurant.
The Migros voucher can be redeemed in all Migros restaurants during the regular opening hours and normal service. A number of Migros restaurants are also open in the evening. To make sure you have enough seats, you should make a reservation with the Migros restaurant you're visiting in advance.
Migros gift cards for thank-you dinners must be redeemed before the end of 2026 by either shopping at a Migros store or visiting a Migros restaurant. After redeeming the card, you can continue using any remaining balance left on it.
