Lausanne-based author and director Guillaume Béguin combines his interest in contemporary literature with the demands of experimental theatre. His latest works deal specifically with the importance of fantasy and fiction in human development and the interactions between the environment and the creation of identity. Born in 1975, he has directed the "Compagnie de nuit comme de jour" since 2006, having previously acquired a wealth of experience as an actor. He brings contemporary texts to the stage, devises performances based on collective research and writes his own texts. His plays are performed in French-speaking Switzerland (Vidy, Comédie, Poche-GVE, TPR, Arsenic, Grütli, etc.), France and Belgium. He teaches at various theatre schools and is co-director of *La FC*, a professional association for research and knowledge exchange in the performing arts.

Margot Van Hove was born in Montreuil in 1992. She is a graduate of the Manufacture (HETSR). She now lives in Lausanne. She was awarded the PREMIO Prize in 2019 for her first theatre play "MAMA". In her work, she explores themes that are important to her as an artist and a woman: the various female stereotypes, our heritage, taboos, motherhood, the relationship with religion and the relationship with family. She creates projects that come from the gut, where the stage is more important than the words. Margot is also the initiator of the in-situ theatre collective CCC, with whom she has created three plays. In 2024, she plays Nora in "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen. She will be doing a residency for Anouk Werro's new creation "À 5 ans j'ai oublié le français". She can also be seen in "Les Ossip" by Vincent Fontannaz.
Project
"I want to start with the childbed to talk about life, love, death and the place of women in the society in which we live. I need to contrast the imagination with this moment in life, which is magical, completely new and difficult at the same time. Whether you have children or not, I want this piece to address the baby we were, our family heritage, our ghosts, our sensations and our bodies. I have started working with Guillaume and they are vivid moments full of ideas and inspirations!!! We share! We exchange ideas! We get to the bottom of things! He helps me a lot in the run-up, from the conception of the project to the production. He will come and see the residencies. I'm really looking forward to it! It's really great to have someone who accompanies a project from the very beginning. It helps you to find new ways of questioning yourself directly and to get your ideas out of your head. It's a bit like having a second brain. That helps me enormously. A kind of midwife, we thought."
