Giancarlo Marinucci, born in Zurich in 1965, lives and works in Zurich. He held the position of Managing Director at the HORA theatre from 2000-2018. As a producer of stage plays, exhibitions and smaller festivals, he was also responsible for partnerships, fundraising, advertising and public relations. One of his core tasks was to establish Theater HORA in the so-called regular independent dance and theatre scene. The group became particularly well known through collaborations with various artists, theatres and other institutions from different artistic fields, including the puppet theatre Das Helmi from Berlin, the Zurich performance group kraut_produktion, the dancer Simone Truong, the multi-talented artist Milo Rau, the dance concept artist Jéôme Bel from Paris, the ZHdK, the Fabriktheater, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, Swiss television and many more. In 2016, the HORA theatre received the Swiss Grand Prix Theatre/Hans-Reinhart-Ring under his direction. From 2007-2013, he was the overall director of the international theatre and dance festival OKKUPATION!, which took place at various regular venues throughout the city of Zurich as well as at unusual locations in public spaces. He was responsible for both the program and the financing.

Niki Anjes Stalder (*1996/CH) trained in Switzerland and France and completed her training at the Höhere Fachschule für Zeitgenössische und Urbanen Bühnentanz in Zurich. In addition to dancing, she attended theatre and tricking classes for many years. Early on, she danced in pieces by Marcel Leemann, with whom she still works closely today. She did internships with Thierry Verger, in the Monti circus and at the Scottish Dance Theatre. Since then, she has travelled as a stage dancer in Germany, France and Switzerland and has danced for the Joshua Monten Dance Company, Compagnie O. and Hermes Dance, among others. Since graduating, she has choreographed for various dance and theatre productions as well as school projects and is actively involved in the independent scene. She has been a co-founder and board member of the Merge Dance Collective since 2019 and dances with the collective in various pieces. In the meantime, she teaches professional classes and at various dance schools. Last year she danced for various stage productions, invested herself in her own projects and worked together in Germany with choreographer Victor Rottier and choreographer/dancer Melissa Kieffer. In the same period, she became part of Krump FAM Infinite and took part in the EBS European Buck Session 2022. Her latest production in collaboration with Victor Rottier will take to the stage in February 2023. www.nikianjesstalder.ch

Project

In DoubleDance, Niki Anjes Stalder focuses on exchange and artistic networking. She wants to explore ways of realising her dance potential in profitable projects. To this end, smaller talks are planned in order to exchange ideas and thoughts on the dissemination of the medium of dance via campaign-like forms (dance as a form of communication in marketing or in the advertising context) within a save space and to leave the familiar paths and explore new ones.
Her second concern is to support and promote the Swiss krump scene, as she has found a home in this dance style. Through various workshops and piece creations with experienced krumpers, she hopes that this dance style, which is still relatively little known in German-speaking Switzerland, will become more publicized and taken for granted. Soon, she would therefore like to devote herself intensively to this topic in addition to the above-mentioned content and seek exchange with theatres and festivals. The collaboration with Giancarlo enables her to think critically and imaginatively outside the box. He gives her the support she needs to realize projects, deepen her knowledge of diffusion and administration and hopefully open new doors.
