Lucie Tuma (1977) was born in Zurich and studied dance, choreography, and applied theatre studies in Prague, Montpellier, and Giessen. Her practice takes moving, often more-than-human bodies as a starting point and explores different temporalities and modes of attention. She works with embodied forms of knowledge, which she translates into performances, exhibitions, audio walks, one-to-one concerts, music albums, and books. From 2020 to 2026, she worked as a curator at Shedhalle Zurich. She has received numerous national and international scholarships, awards, and grants. Her works have been presented at venues including Gessnerallee Zurich, ADC Geneva, BONE Festival Bern, Art Safiental, Sophiensaele Berlin, MDT Stockholm, and ACC Gwanju (South Korea). Since 2012, she has been active in interdisciplinary research contexts and regularly teaches at institutions such as ZHdK Zurich, HKB Bern, HFK Bremen, HZT Berlin, Ruhr University Bochum, and DAI Art Praxis Arnhem.
