David Caspar Kindermann, 1999, Basel. David Caspar released his debut album "Among The Breakers" at the beginning of 2022. As a hymn to nature, the songs follow a common thread through the seasons. A spring wind whispers through the woods, the birds chirp. The single "Birdsong" impresses at the m4Music demo tape clinic and wins in the pop category. After a few concerts and a tour of Germany in support of Benjamin Amaru, the release of new material, the debut album as an LP and the first festival shows are on the cards.
Project
Together with Giovanni Vicari as my coach, I want to delve deep into the guitar and its surrounding spectrum; live and in producing. I want to navigate the world of effects pedals and gain a deeper understanding of the possibilities so that I can realise a specific, desired sound from my mind. How do I use the guitar and these effects as a "lead" in productions? I would also like to learn from Giovanni what needs to be considered when mixing + mastering. This should help me to increase the quality of my demos, in which we will discuss the mixing of all the central elements of a song in depth together.
In addition to focusing on guitar skills and producing topics, I want to analyze my existing songs and conceive live versions that are derived from the studio recordings (picking, strumming, melodies, noises) but that I can play on my own without losing the essence of the arrangement. Along the way, I want to improve and consolidate my performance and confidence in guitar playing (stability, flow + sound awareness) so that I can take another step forward in a live context.
