At the age of 21, guitarist Jona Nido from La Chaux-de-Fonds went on a world tour with the Berlin band The Ocean. The 36-year-old, who has played almost 2,000 concerts worldwide, is now co-head of the label Hummus Records, which he founded around ten years ago to promote his band Coilguns. The label now has over 130 releases and 67 Swiss artists in its catalogue, including Emilie Zoé, Louis Jucker, Anna Aaron, Dirty Sound Magnet, Ester Poly and many more.

Glaascat

The creative lightness of the young Freiburg trio floats in a personal and intimate atmosphere. A bubbling energy, however, creates a pressure that is difficult to put into words. Amelia Kamber (18 years old), Jonathan Gay (19 years old) and Alexander Kamber (20 years old) are behind Glaascats, a name without meaning. The band released their first EP "Umelekela" in 2020, followed by two albums in 2021. All recordings, as well as the artwork, were made at home with the resources available. The open-minded trio appreciates the ability to do things themselves.

Project

The m4music festival in March 2022 was a turning point for our band Glaascats. We won the Rock category of the Demotape Clinic, which opened new doors for us. Doors that seemed closed to us until then and that we didn't have the keys to open. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Jona Nido and are convinced that he can help us achieve our goals. We are striving for greater autonomy in music production, from planning our tours to managing our accounts.
