Born in Zurich (ok, Schlieren) in 1987 and raised somewhere in the countryside, Rhea (she/no pronouns) studied sociocultural animation and then acting with singing. Today, Rhea is a bridge builder and artist who uses her lively voice (singing, speaking) and body to tell her neurodivergent view of things in stories on stage. Since taking part in the final of the 2017 Swiss Poetry Slam Championships, Rhea has hosted the series of events at Rote Fabrik and Millers for Poetry Slam Zurich, led creative workshops at Art Grid, can teach Yin Yoga and is a trainer in non-violent communication. Rhea created the first spoken word musical with "Das kleine Mädchen" and is currently writing her own full-length solo play. Rhea has been a parent of a child since 2019.

Project

Phönix  - Von Freiwilligkeit und Zwangspausen

Do you know those moments when life relentlessly pours down on you and you're looking for the pause button? It is precisely at such a time that the protagonist invites you on a journey into the daily overload of the madness of everyday life. In this waterfall of constant input, she creates a space to catch your breath. Where there is time to ask questions that have been put off until now: How did I end up here in the first place? How am I really doing? Why do I always ask myself the same things and how am I supposed to know all the answers? In the hope of coming to terms a little more with my own signs of fatigue. An honest evening with sung and spoken words that won't leave you cold. As a mentor, Anja Lauper will accompany the project process from concept to premiere and support it in production and networking issues.
