Project

Il Cabaret delle francesi is the encounter between two artists with Italian roots on their father's side. Two stories that are similar, but very different in their social environments and their relationship to Italian culture. A culture that one either proudly and without complexes accepts as an obvious nature or hides for fear of not being able to integrate. Italy as an intimate and hidden or openly lived identity that unfolds over generations and families. These are our stories, our origins, which we will tell with humor and gentleness, through music and poetry.

Il Cabaret delle francesi is written and interpreted by Béatrice Nani and Alice Businaro, with mentoring from Marina Viotti. During the coaching sessions, Marina guides the two artists in their writing. She gives them artistic advice for the interpretation of a repertoire with diverse aesthetics and vocal expressions, ranging from lyrical repertoire to chanson.
