Culture Percentage and sponsorship in Valais

From the sailing association to classical music
The Migros Culture Percentage was one of Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler’s great humanist ideas, and was entered into the company statutes in 1957. Migros upholds this unique approach and the corresponding values as proudly now as it did in years gone by.
Thanks to our grants, our cooperative is committed to the people of Valais. Each year, we support some 500 projects and events from Lower Valais to Upper Valais. Our commitment always comes from the heart, whether it’s for fundraising dinners, concerts, choral festivals, scout camps, sports events or social projects.
General information for your applications
- Processing time for application files: 2 months before the event.
- Only one grant is awarded per applicant per year.
- Only applications received for an existing project or concerning a realistic project with sufficient guarantees of success will be considered.
- Any support that Migros Valais provides may take the form of a cash payment, vouchers, advertising material, an article in the Migros Magazine, information on our website, information on the Federation of Migros Cooperatives website, or contributions in kind.
- Associations must have a recognised committee or body.

Exclusion criteria
- Applications from private individuals, public-sector or state departments
- All applications from outside the canton
- Online projects with schools and scientific research
- Projects with political or religious connotations
- Applications from publishing houses, film production, CD and book production
- Investment in infrastructure
- Any incomplete applications and applications not made using the online form
