A Burgdorf café that builds bridges
In Burgdorf, the Kariim association runs a café where refugees and locals come together in an informal setting.
The Kariim association is committed to helping refugees in Emmental. In the welcoming café, asylum seekers, temporarily admitted persons and refugees can find practical help with housing and job searches, legal matters and everyday questions. If you like, you can actively help out – for example, in the kitchen or at the coffee machine. Locals and refugees meet informally for a cup of coffee, to cook together, play or be together. This way, they set up a creative meeting place where everyone can contribute and feel at home.
