Better living, more encounters – more diversity in old age!
HEKS/EPER encourages migrants aged 50 and over to take a more active part in social life.
Many older migrants feel isolated and struggle with health problems. HEKS/EPER is committed to helping them become part of a lively community again, make new friends and shape their lives independently. With the support of key personnel who speak Turkish, Ukrainian or Spanish, HEKS/EPER reaches people directly in their community. These confidants visit older migrants, invite them to café meetings and information events and create spaces for exchange and encounters. This creates a strong social network that connects, supports and restores the migrants’ enjoyment of life.

From the project team:
«Through my work, I build a bridge between older migrants and society.»
