Profile
Professional profile
My main focuses are
- Personal experience of disability (low vision from birth, use of a white cane)
- Solid professional expertise in access to information and knowledge (former French and history teacher, former journalist, former community manager, documentary information specialist)
- Extensive knowledge of accessibility practices in the cultural sector and public institutions in French-speaking Switzerland
How I can support
- Welcoming people with disabilities, particularly the visually impaired, to your cultural events and public services
- Creating accessible cultural mediation (libraries, theatres, museums, festivals)
- Accessible collections and spaces in public and school libraries
- Accessible training and communication materials (print and digital)
- Accessibility of your website and social networks
- Good signage practice
- Professional inclusion of people with disabilities in your service
What drives me
Diversity is a source of wealth and added value. Even today, disability is often overlooked in corporate diversity and inclusion policies, in the diversity of the public and in the social mix. I am convinced that disabled people must have access to training/education, health, culture, goods and services, as well as to what the 'able-bodied' population has to offer. Just like everyone else.
