The Mini-Grants provide support for small associations that have big ideas but only a little budget. 

The Mini-Grants from "ici. together here." provide unbureaucratic support for small associations that have big ideas but only a little budget. It supports projects that promote the coexistence of all cultures in Switzerland. 

Requirements

  • Openness and equality: your project brings people from different countries and cultures together as equals.  
  • Your organisation pursues a charitable purpose (e.g. association, cooperative).  
  • Your project will be implemented at the regional or local level.  
  • Your team is diverse.  
  • Your commitment is largely voluntary.  
  • Your upcoming project will be entered at least 3 months before the start of the project.  
  • Once the project is complete, you fill out a short reporting form.  
  • You can only apply for a Mini-Grant for the same project once a year.  
  • As an organisation, you may apply for two Mini-Grants per year (for different projects).
  • Individuals  
  • State organisations and schools 

What we support

Your project must be dedicated to one of the two following topics:  

  • "Here together in everyday life": clubs, meeting places, groups, tandem schemes and networks bring people from different backgrounds and cultures together, thereby strengthening cohesion. 
  • "Growing up multilingual together here": programmes that support children up to the age of 6 and their families in speaking their family languages outside the home, thereby promoting diversity in society. 

A Mini-Grant can be used to:  

  • to try out an idea
  • to realise a small project
  • to pay the running costs of a project

Topics or organisations with the following thematic focus are not supported by Mini-Grants:  

  • Physical health  
  • Medical services  
  • Research or congresses  
  • Formal education (including school camps)

Deadlines and decisions

The funding decision is made by the “ici. here together.” programme management and, if necessary, upon consultation with the members of the expert jury.  

The tender will run from 2 April to 31 December 2024.  

Your planned project must be submitted at least 3 months before the start of the project.  

The decision will be communicated no later  than 10 weeks after submission.

Funding type

A Mini-Grant is worth between CHF 500 and CHF 2'500 and is transferred to the association’s bank account if the decision is favourable.
