Marcel Meury (* 1975, he/him) pursues a transdisciplinary artistic practice that is anchored in a socio-economic interest. He grew up in precarious circumstances in the Zurich agglomeration and now lives in Basel and Zurich as an artist, co-researcher and father of a child (born 2013). In his artistic practice (Social Practice), he deals with questions of contemporary living conditions. His experience and his own biography, in which he lives, works and shares, play an integral role. The focus will be on art and class, social justice and transgenerational transmission. The aim is to transform biographical experience and personal life worlds into collective knowledge in order to initiate social change, thus contributing to strengthening diversity and democracy.
