At the Kulturhalle Sägegasse, the cultural programme is organised by volunteers. Awareness courses help them keep safe when dealing with challenging situations. Later, the insights gained from these learning experiences will be made available to other cultural organisations.

The Kulturhalle Sägegasse in Burgdorf is run largely by volunteers. They organise concerts, parties and other cultural events and take on roles behind the bar, in the technical team or in the venue's management. To ensure that they feel safe in their day-to-day event work, awareness training sessions will be offered with support from experts. The volunteers learn to handle difficult situations with confidence and support one another. This boosts their self-confidence, their sense of community and the joy they gain from their involvement. The volunteers can put these lessons into practice in their everyday lives, whilst other cultural organisations learn from the experiences shared.
