Volunteers need breaks
At foraus, nearly 150 volunteers are working to shape the future of Swiss foreign policy. A new initiative provides a welcome balance to their demanding work.
foraus – Forum Aussenpolitik is a non-profit organisation run by nearly 150 students and young professionals who volunteer their time. The volunteers engage in great depth with challenging issues such as war, displacement and the climate crisis. The new initiative, ‘Volunteers need breaks’, helps to strike a balance: volunteers meet to discuss the pressures they face but also to enjoy short team breaks.
From the project team:
«We rarely ask: how does this make you feel? That needs to change.»
