A place to recharge your batteries

Fribourg

La Famille au Jardin organises monthly meetings for its volunteers to discuss any concerns and recharge their batteries.

The day centres run by La Famille au Jardin provide support to people with memory disorders and their families in the canton of Fribourg. Volunteers take care of meals, transport and support. By building relationships with the people they support and their families, the volunteers provide valuable support whilst also experiencing the challenges of change and the grieving process in everyday life. To help build their resilience, a specialist in life transitions organises monthly meetings. In a safe and confidential setting, the volunteers can share their experiences, allow themselves to feel their emotions and recharge their batteries.

From the project team:

«Anyone who is there for others needs a place of their own to recharge. At these meetings, the volunteers find the resources they need to carry on with their work with peace of mind and renewed energy.»
