DoubleLiteratur offers mentoring for professional literary writers in four national languages.
How does DoubleLiteratur work?
Every year, the project invites applications for 6–7 mentors from professional literary writers in the four-language region of Switzerland. Applicants must be pursuing a major literary project and seeking to take advantage of the opportunity to work with an experienced professional colleague. The mentoring programme focuses not only on text work but on all aspects of writing and the literary industry.
Requirements
- Only applications from Swiss residents are accepted. Each applicant may only apply once per year.
- At the end of the mentoring programme, an excerpt of the literary text produced during the project will be published on this website.
- Ten working meetings of at least two to a maximum of eight hours each are planned.
What we support
All narrative, lyrical and dramatic forms of literature are accepted.
Academic and journalistic writing are not considered.
Deadlines and decisions
At the end of the call for applications (3 months), the mentors review the applications together with an expert.
The selection process and determination of the winner takes a maximum of two weeks. After this period, applicants receive their acceptance or rejection notice.
