Alignment
We provide funding for the national dissemination (diffusion) of professionally realised artistic works.
Our focus is on the dissemination of artistic works that deal with current challenges in our society and create new access options for a diverse audience.

Requirements
The application must meet the following criteria:
- The applying organisation / institution / individual must be based in Switzerland.
- At least one third of the participating artists must be resident in Switzerland.
The project belongs to at least one of the following disciplines:
- Visual arts
- Comics
- Digital culture
- Film
- Jazz
- Classical music
- Cabaret
- Literature
- Pop
- Dance
- Theatre
- Contemporary circus
The application must contain confirmations of events in at least 3 Swiss cantons (in Ticino: 3 different locations).
- The application and the budget must relate only to the distribution of the work.
- The application must be submitted at least 4 months before the start of the events.
- The project must be realised professionally.
- The guideline fees of the sectoral professional associations must be taken into account in the budget (where available).
- Contributions to social insurance must be recognised individually in the budget.
- The form must be completed in full and all required documents included to the extent specified.
- Written confirmations from all venues
- Document with images, texts or links to audio and video material on the work (max. 3 pages)
- Budget for the diffusion of the work
Criteria
The commission makes its selection according to the following criteria:
The project exhibits high artistic and content quality.
The project has the potential to make a relevant contribution to dealing with current social challenges.
The diffusion strategy is effective and offers access to a diverse audience.
The project exhibits a diversity-sensitive, inclusive and sustainable approach.
Exclusion
The following are excluded from funding:
- Production costs (samples, material, infrastructure, etc.)
- Operating costs
- Translations
- Profit-orientated projects
- Commissioned work
- Charity events
- Projects from schools, universities of applied sciences and arts or universities
Decisions and deadlines
Applications may be submitted at any time.
Firstly, we check whether all formal criteria are met. A commission then decides which projects will receive funding.
We will provide written feedback no later than three months after receipt of the application.
